At NEXT,we’re looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Senior Assistant Company Secretary to join our Group Finance team at our Head Office.

This is a significant opportunity to provide high-quality company secretarial services in a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts our corporate governance. You will be joining a collaborative team with a positive, "can-do" attitude—a group of people who are always ready to roll their sleeves up to ensure the job is done to the highest standard.

Share Scheme Administration: Support the management of our various employee share plans, including ShareSave and LTIP, in partnership with our Share Schemes Manager.

Market Compliance: Ensure we remain fully compliant with the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and maintain accurate insider and project lists.

Dividend Management: Oversee the company secretarial aspects of dividend payments, ensuring all legal and administrative steps are handled with precision.

What you'll bring

We are looking for a Chartered Governance Professional who thrives on responsibility and communicates with clarity and belief. While you don't need to be an expert in every single area immediately, we value a mindset that is ready to learn and evolve.

Professional Background: You are a UK chartered secretary with broad experience gained within a premium listed company.

Technical Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of share schemes, subsidiary compliance, and working with authorities like Companies House and the FCA.

Communication: You have first-class report writing skills and the confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels, including PLC Board Directors.

Attention to Detail: You take pride in producing high-quality, concise analyses and maintaining accurate records in a busy environment.
