The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Perform as a Senior Architect with both internally and externally facing relationships and responsibilities + Preparation of planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, illustrations and graphics, construction details, construction documents, technical specifications and cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projects + Use computer software as a tool for solving architectural problems + Maintain conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes + Provide support to the Architectural Manager and Project Manager across all phases of building design and construction projects as required. + Prepare creative, functional and innovative designs for clients + Preparation of detailed architectural designs, architectural details and specifications + Working with various disciplines to develop designs, meet with clients as required. + Assist in business development **Qualifications** Minimum Requirements : + Bachelor’s degree in architecture with 6+ years of relevant professional experience with complex buildings + Proficiency in Revit is a must + Must be a Licensed Architect with the OAA + Experience in Alternative Delivery models (IPD, MDB, etc.) + Holding or ability to obtain security clearance + Client facing with string communication skills + Knowledge of Ontario Building Code Preferred Qualifications : + Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institute or equivalent experience + Collaborative and ability to work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary including internal and external consultants and specialists + Strong conceptual and technical knowledge of building construction + Thorough knowledge of building systems and construction detailing + Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and other artistic methods necessary to convey creative or technical ideas + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Strong presentation skills + Ability to work with various Canadian municipalities for permitting and development approvals process + Project Management Experience is an asset **Additional Information** + Company paid relocation is not available for this position + Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
