Senior Archer Developer
Position Description:

We are expanding our capabilities across Atlantic Canada and are seeking an experienced Senior Archer Developer to join our Governance – Archer Technology Application Development team. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Halifax, NS, with a hybrid work model requiring 4 days per week onsite at the client office in Bedford, NS.

In this role, you will focus on the development, configuration, and enhancement of the Archer GRC application to support business stakeholders. As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to solution design, technical leadership, and high-quality delivery of Governance, Risk, and Compliance solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and enhance the Archer application to support Governance, Risk, and Compliance initiatives
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of relevant GRC standards, policies, and procedures
• Perform business and system analysis and document high-level and detailed technical design requirements
• Implement complex workflows, integrations, business rules, and data structures within the Archer platform
• Prepare technical specifications, user stories, and security/architecture documentation in alignment with Agile practices
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project delivery team
• Assess, research, and recommend cost-effective application development solutions to meet business objectives
• Develop, document, and execute unit, system, integration, and acceptance testing
• Create detailed project plans and accurate effort estimations for build, testing, and implementation phases
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 3+ years of hands-on Archer application development and configuration experience
• Project delivery experience on GRC initiatives, including Regulatory Compliance, Operational Risk, IT Risk, Disaster Recovery, Supplier Risk, and Privacy Risk
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of IT standards, methodologies, and audit requirements
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Strong understanding of workflow design and application development techniques

Nice to have
• Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience
• Experience configuring other GRC tools similar to Archer
• Technical skills including HTML, JavaScript, C#, SQL, XML/XSLT, Tableau, or Python
• Experience capturing and refining requirements directly from business stakeholders

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000–$125,000. This role is a future opportunity.
