Senior Archaeologist

Key Responsibilities + Lead archaeological efforts for the Irvine office, overseeing fieldwork and compliance + Manage and execute Phase I surveys, Phase II testing, and data recovery projects + Conduct construction monitoring and ensure regulatory compliance on active job sites + Prepare and contribute to archaeological reports and documentation + Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal teams to meet project goals + Mentor junior staff and support team development + Ensure projects meet local, state, and federal cultural resource regulations Required Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred) + 8–10 years of experience in archaeological fieldwork and environmental consulting + Proven experience with Phase I and II investigations, compliance monitoring, and reporting + Familiarity with Southern California cultural resource regulations and field conditions + Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record + Ability to lead field teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Credentials & Skills + Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) certification + Experience with CEQA/NEPA compliance and agency coordination + Strong technical writing and communication skills + GIS or survey mapping experience is a plus + Experience mentoring junior archaeologists or managing small teams Top Skills + Environmental consulting + Archaeological field analysis + Survey and site documentation + Construction monitoring + Project coordination and compliance Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
