Job Summary
SummaryAct as part of a team of application and workflow experts to provide design & build support supporting Epic and possibly other healthcare systems. Analyzes the organization's current business practices and translates them into configurations and workflows for successful product implementation. Provides guidance and leadership to other team members.
Essential Functions
-Provides recommendations based on subject matter expertise to resolve roadblocks in the technical build.
-Leads, mentors, and provides guidance to peers regarding work procedures, technical issues, and prioritization/delegation of work, which may also include onboarding and training of new staff.
-Leads the discussion of business requirements and coordinates the translation of those business requirements into functional specifications and/or system build and/or configuration for the software application, and offers recommendations for improvements in data collection, workflow, or other processes when possible.
-Works closely with the application’s vendor or developer to communicate the functional specifications, providing details to improve understanding.
-Develops test plans and performs related software quality assurance tasks.
-Provides ongoing support of the software applications by identifying and resolving issues, often as the point of escalation for more complex issues.
-Acts as team delegate/representative at department, project, or other meetings, as assigned.
-Participates as needed with review of the training curriculum and end user documentation for the applications user community.

Experience in healthcare information technology 5-7 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to obtain required Epic certifications as outlined by program requirements.
- Experience with the development, support or operation of software applications in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of the workflows and operations supported by the software application(s).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
