Senior Application Analyst – Supply Chain Distribution
This role works onsite in our Phoenix Home Office. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.
How this role will make an impact:
The Senior Application Analyst role for Supply Chain Technology executes the entire lifecycle of a product line from strategic planning, to tactical activities, to operational support. In this position, you will identify, define, analyze, prioritize, test and refine the technology platform requirements, and work with cross functional technology and business teams to deliver the final product. This position also ensures that issues are resolved in a timely manner, works with vendors for bug fixes and supports our business partners to keep the facilities running with minimal interruptions.
Your goals and responsibilities will include:
Support the creation of business requirements and functional design specificationsActively engage with a team of developers, architects, and analyst in delivering business requirements, technical requirements and testing for the implemented functionalitiesWork closely with the business to ensure solutions meet business needsUnderstand the business operations in detail; knowledgeable of current and possible future practices, trends and information affecting multiple business functions and aspects of how they relate to other areasEnsure the appropriate technology teams are engaged in the solution so all affected systems are includedInfluence technical solution; identify gaps between technical solution/application capabilities/business requests and negotiate resolutionLead vendor partners to ensure deliverables are high quality, on time and meet the business needsEnsure that proposed system changes are supported by application vendorEvaluate, coordinate and/or apply configurations, vendor packages and software tool upgrades and patchesAbility to engage business and extract requirements that may or may not be stated directlyAbility to resolve issues quickly and accept responsibility for the resolutionCreate and execute test plans, cases and scripts; establish and manage acceptance criteria, identify defects and work to a resolution with the developers and business teamsWill be required to participate in week-long on-call rotation that requires 24/7 availabilityRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree - Math, Science, Computer Science, Supply Chain or Business preferred or equivalent work experienceMinimum 2+ years of experience in analyzing, designing, configuring and implementing complex applications and integrating vendor packages; played a significant role in leading or managing small to medium projectsHands-on technical experience managing and administering retail applications specifically in the area of Supply Chain DistributionVery strong analysis/troubleshooting skills; strong partnering/relationship building skillsStrong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of the Software Development LifecycleSuperior ability to manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignmentsExperience working on projects involving the implementation of 3rd party software solutionsExperience partnering with vendors to deliver components of projectsFlexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple quickly changing and competing prioritiesUnderstanding of APIs and modern technology architectureFamiliarity with message formats JS/JSON/CSS/XMLOperational application supportExperience with SQL preferredSolid Distribution systems experience in Manhattan Associates WMOS, Fortna and Pick to Light preferredPreferred Qualifications:
