What You'll Bring
As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path within BCG’s Energy Practice Group (EPG) and Climate & Sustainability Practice Area (C&S PA) in the Middle East, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.). You will contribute to cases and proposals with relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. This includes participating in day-to-day meetings with clients, developing presentations (PowerPoint) and quantitative models (Excel) as needed, running meetings independently or with the support of BCG leadership, and developing white papers (Word) detailing specific topics of expertise. You will also be responsible for preparing proposals (PowerPoint) to support business development efforts and contributing to the development of internal BCG Practice Area initiatives
Additionally, as a Senior Analyst, you will support commercialization efforts with development of intellectual property (IP) and assets for the business, e.g., codifying knowledge from client work or co-developing new perspectives or primers on selected topics
While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions

You bring:
2+ years of consulting experience in energy, climate & sustainability, decarbonization, and Net Zero strategies required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred particularly with experience in developing decarbonization/ESG roadmaps, identifying and quantifying decarbonization levers including from a financial perspective In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred, particularly within relevant high-emitting sectors such as energy, oil & gas, and energy utilities with a demonstrated track record in decarbonization initiatives A comprehensive understanding of carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3), ideally complemented by hands-on experience, including methane (preferably aligned with the OGMP 2.0 framework). This includes compiling GHG inventories, conducting carbon footprint analyses, and using emissions data analysis tools and carbon assessment software for accurate tracking and reporting Strong knowledge of decarbonization solutions and energy technologies (renewables, energy efficiency, carbon capture, hydrogen, synthetic and biofuels, etc.) to inform Net Zero strategies. Ability to evaluate technical feasibility, financial impact, and model scenarios for emissions reduction Experience with creating Net Zero roadmaps, stakeholder engagement, and implementation Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred); an engineering/STEM background a plus Fluency in English; Arabic a plus; for the Riyadh location, Saudi national is preferred Strong data and analytical capabilities, e.g., versatile in ESG data platforms, Excel, Alteryx and Tableau or similar with proven ability to build robust models and user-friendly dashboards Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to create “client-ready” written outputs
