**What you’ll do:** A Senior Analyst – Lease Accounting is responsible for end to end lease accounting under ASC 842/ Ind AS 116 / IFRS 16 , ensuring accurate accounting, compliance, and reporting for operating and finance leases. • This role typically sits within RTR / Corporate Accounting / Technical Accounting who can do On time and accurate lease month close with Zero defect mindset Key Responsibilities Lease Accounting & Compliance • Manage accounting for operating & finance leases under ASC 842 • Perform lease classification, recognition, and measurement • Calculate and review ROU assets, lease liabilities, interest & depreciation • Handle lease modifications, remeasurements, impairments, and terminations • Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX (if applicable) Financial Close & Reporting • Own monthly / quarterly / annual close activities related to leases • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and roll-forwards • Support statutory audits, internal audits, and management reviews • Prepare disclosures for financial statements & notes Systems & Process • Manage lease data in lease accounting tools ( Co star – Lease analysis tool ) • Partner with AP, Legal, Real Estate, Procurement • Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization • Support new lease implementations and system migrations • Support to close Lease tickets raised by Stakeholders Stakeholder & Advisory • Act as SME for lease accounting • Interpret contract terms and advise business partners • Support policy updates and accounting memos **Qualifications:** Required Qualifications & Experience • CA / CMA / MBA • 4–8 years experience in accounting or RTR **Skills:** • Strong hands on expertise in Ind AS 116 / IFRS 16 / ASC 842 • Experience in shared services or corporate accounting is a plus • Strong understanding of US GAAP or IFRS (depending on company) • Experience working with large lease portfolios Key Skills Technical • Lease accounting standards (Ind AS 116 / ASC 842) • Financial close & account reconciliation • Financial statement disclosures • Audit support & documentation • ERP systems (SAP / Oracle) + lease tools Soft Skills • Analytical mindset & attention to detail • Stakeholder communication • Problem solving & ownership mindset • Ability to work independently as SME
