Senior Analyst Finance CAPEX & Productivity

Job Description

Purpose of the Role

The role partners the Manufacturing & Supply Chain (MSC) function to drive financial governance across Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Productivity agendas for the India business.

The incumbent will support investment planning, project feasibility, cost optimization initiatives, and long-term productivity pipelines to enable sustainable growth, capacity readiness, and margin improvement.

This position acts as a key finance business partner to Engineering, Plants, Procurement, and Central Supply Chain teams, ensuring disciplined capital deployment, robust productivity governance, and delivery of financial benefits.

Key Responsibilities

1) CAPEX Financial Management

Lead financial planning and governance of the annual CAPEX investment program for the India supply chain network.

Partner with Business Development, Engineering, and Plant teams to ensure capacity and capability readiness aligned with growth plans.

Prepare, review, and drive approvals for capital expenditure plans and investment requests.

Evaluate financial viability of CAPEX projects, including ROI, payback, and business case analysis.

Support long-term investment planning for capacity expansion and capability enhancement.

Collaborate with AMEA regional teams for review and approval of major investments.

Ensure capital spending is phased and executed as per approved plans.

Conduct post-implementation reviews to track benefits realization and project outcomes.

Develop investment models for future capacity and network growth scenarios.

2) Productivity & Cost Optimization

Partner with MSC teams to deliver India BU productivity targets and build a robust 2–3 year productivity pipeline.

Analyse the cost base, identify loss areas, and recommend improvement opportunities across operations.

Drive governance and end-to-end tracking of gross productivity projects.

Lead cross-functional alignment to ensure sufficiency of productivity initiatives.

Support delivery of India Net Productivity (NP) targets.

Review and assess financial viability of new productivity projects.

Streamline VOLT reporting processes and strengthen productivity governance.

Work closely with Plants, Procurement, and Central Supply Chain teams on ideation, feasibility, and execution of projects.

Knowledge & Skills

Functional Knowledge

Understanding of complex manufacturing environments

FMCG commercial accounting and supply chain finance principles

Capital investment analysis and project feasibility evaluation

Technical Skills

Strong experience in supply chain or plant finance

CAPEX evaluation, ROI modelling, and productivity tracking

Network or capacity modelling (preferred)

Advanced Excel and business analytics skills

Basic PowerPoint and dashboarding capabilities

General Competencies

Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management

Ability to influence across multiple levels, from analysts to directors

Structured problem-solving and analytical mindset

Effective communication and presentation skills

Qualifications

CA or MBA (Finance) preferred

Experience

6–8 years of experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment

Exposure to plant finance, procurement finance, CAPEX evaluation, or productivity initiatives preferred

Open to candidates from Commercial Finance, Category Finance, or other Finance Business Partnering roles within manufacturing or FMCG organizations.

Exposure to cost analysis, project evaluation, or operational finance will be an advantage.
