How will you make an impact in this role?
The position of Senior Analyst role reports to the Manager, Strategy Planning & Enablement (SP&E) and will be based in India (Gurgaon). The incumbent will partner with the broader GMNS (Global Merchant Network Services) team, interacting with Marketing, Pricing, Finance, Business Insights and the equivalent teams in APAC & USA and act as a central point of contact for data requests for Europe. They will also be responsible to support key projects across the team to provide insights, build models and tools, and perform analytics.
Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) signs merchants to accept American Express cards and maintains the card acceptance network. GMNS is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with merchants, merchant acquirers, processors, and the network. GMNS also processes card transactions and settles with merchants that accept American Express cards. Furthermore, GMNS provides marketing information and services such as fraud prevention to merchants. In addition, GMNS builds and manages loyalty coalition programs which enable consumers to earn and spend rewards points.
The GMNS Strategy, Planning, and Enablement (SP&E) team works closely with the GMNS Group President and all GMNS General Managers across 30 European markets. Specific responsibilities include planning and reporting to enable merchant acquisition and client management teams, strategy formulation, business development, and investment optimization
Our role is to support the business to meet their coverage objectives across multiple channels. We deliver insights and best practices to drive global adoption, define and lead strategic growth projects and support business critical regulatory needs. We are looking for an analyst to play a key role in our plans.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders on data requests and provide accurate data in timely manner. Support calendar activities during critical times for client management and reporting. Provide Critical data for scorecards across 160 plus colleagues. Periodic tracking and monitoring changes of Accounts across Client Management Team gathering details of changes. Provide value add analysis with key insights and external perspective, market indicators, trends. Support Markets on Ad hoc analysis related to client management performance metrics. Maintain close contacts with business partners, Technology, and other interface groups to drive resolution of queries on priority Review end to end process and identify opportunities for process improvements. Act as a back-up of the leader - Ensure high level of engagement and motivation among team members to provide best in class customer/colleague experience. Ensure compliance with American Express policies and procedures The incumbent would always be required to consistently understand and exceed customer’s requirements whilst ensuring effective team- workSkills Required:
Candidate must be a graduate / post-graduate with 3 - 6 years of post-qualification experience. Should have working knowledge of SAS, SQL and Tableau. Strong communication skills both verbal and written communication. Communication should be structured, clear and concise so that it is easy for others to comprehend the same. Incumbent should demonstrate customer/colleagues first mindset and should be ready to go extra mile to provide the best-in-class customer/colleague experience. Flexibility to work with different countries (time-zones), groups, and business environment Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications i.e., Word, Power Point and Excel Attention to detail and accuracy of data delivery. Must be detail oriented with good problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under stress and meet tight deadlines.Shift: 12:30 pm - 9 pm
