What You'll Do

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Topic Activation path within BCG's Public Sector Practice Area you will work in a growing global team, providing industry/functional expertise and insights whilst working together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisory. You’ll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues.

You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise.

BCG's Public Sector practice collaborates with governments worldwide to enhance their responsiveness, agility, and problem-solving capabilities. By integrating private sector insights with extensive public sector experience, BCG assists in areas such as economic development, defense, digital government services, infrastructure, and education. Their approach emphasizes comprehensive transformations, focusing on process optimization, transparency, and people-centric strategies to improve societal well-being. 

 

The Economic Development, Government Finances, and Center of Government (EFC) topic under Public Sector Practice focus on collaborating with governments to manage economic growth complexities, optimize public finances, and enhance high-level policy-making and implementation. This encompasses designing economic priority strategies, optimizing fiscal management systems, and effectively utilizing assets, while driving cross-government efforts to achieve these goals. Though these concentrated efforts, BCG empowers decision-makers to achieve greater efficiency and impact, fostering sustainable economic growth and improving citizens' wellbeing amidst global uncertainties.

What You'll Bring

2+ years of consulting experience in relevant public sector topics, especially on government finances at the federal level, are required, with larger expertise in center of government/cross-government collaborations and economic development as a plusIn lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred. Work for public sector budget, economic development, or tax and revenue agencies (e.g. the Federal Reserve, Treasury, Internal Revenue Service) at the federal level is highly desiredU.S. citizenshipBachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)Fluency in EnglishStrong business acumen and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills
