Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Philippines office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and engaging Sr. Analyst to serve as Trainer, Quality Auditor, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Payroll Backoffice Operations. This multifaceted role is responsible for designing and delivering training programs, conducting quality audits, and providing expert guidance on payroll systems and compliance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the team.
What You'll Do
Act as the primary point of contact for complex payroll back-office inquiries and escalations.
Provide expert-level guidance on payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements.
Analyze and resolve discrepancies in payroll data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
Relationship Management: Coordinate closely with other concerned teams within People Services, GBS Finance and Payroll, and counterparts in various countries. Initiating meetings with stakeholders and managing projects related to process improvements. Contributing to the implementation of projects relating to quality improvements and service excellence. Representing People Services in programs / activities that require related expertise and decision making. Interacting with internal / external related parties such as but not limited to Business Units, GMAS and SOX Auditors, and HR Representatives.
Lead or support payroll-related projects, including system upgrades, process automation, and policy updates.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of payroll procedures (DTPs), controls, and best practices.
Monitor and interpret changes in US and Canada payroll legislation and ensure compliance.
Train and mentor payroll analysts and junior team members on best practices and system usage.
Support audits and internal reviews by providing necessary documentation and insights.


Additional Job DescriptionYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in US and Canada payroll operations, with at least 2 years in a subject matter expert or senior analyst role.
Strong understanding of payroll systems and timekeeping tools. (ADP Globalview, SAP, eSAP, Workday, Kronos, UKG Pro, ServiceNow, Siebel), KNIME.
Experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience supporting audits and ensuring compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC or equivalent).
Experience in a shared services or global payroll environment.
Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
