The Senior Analyst NAV Solutions and Oversight will be instrumental in leveraging data and analytical techniques across various fund administration functions They will conduct in-depth analysis and reconciliation of Net Asset Value (NAV), scrutinizing data for anomalies and driving accuracy. Key responsibilities also include qualitative and quantitative analysis for cash flow optimization, meticulous performance review analysis, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in NAV production related areas.
**Is this role right for you? In this role you will:**
+ Conduct daily analytical oversight of Net Asset Value (NAV) for mutual funds, private funds, and ETFs, assessing the impact of all transactions on NAV performance and identifying any potential discrepancies or anomalies
+ Execute comprehensive reconciliation analysis across various data sets, including capital stock, IBOR positions, Fundserv FOF positions, FX Forwards, derivatives, and Prime Broker cash and position reports
+ Perform rigorous daily NAV price validation and analytical review of periodic distributions to the Transfer Agency system, ensuring data integrity and consistency, and identify any trends or patterns in pricing deviations
+ Develop and implement cash forecasting models to predict liquidity requirements, ensuring optimal fund operations and minimizing idle cash
+ Conduct in-depth analytical reviews of weekly cash exceptions, perform root cause analysis to identify discrepancies and collaborate with stakeholders for resolutions and process improvements
+ Conduct in-depth analysis on fund expenses and fees and verify accuracy with fund agreements
+ Provide analytical support to fund administration providers, system providers, and media, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all communications
+ Generate comprehensive and insightful reports and analytics for NAV Solutions and Oversight Team, Portfolio Managers and other business partners to forester decision-making and strategic planning discissions
+ Collaborate effectively to ensure smooth fund operations and compliance with all regulatory requirements
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline fund operations & comply with all regulatory requirements through process improvements and risk assessments
+ Conduct continuous, data-driven reviews of business operations to analytically identify process gaps, quantify & mitigate risk exposures, and implement efficiency improvements
+ Collaborate closely with management to analytically identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and develop new reporting capabilities that support and drive continuous improvement initiatives
+ Develop and document new processes and procedures, create comprehensive training materials, & conduct thorough walkthroughs of workflows to ensure consistent approach and understanding across the team
**Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:**
+ University degree in business, accounting, finance or equivalent
+ CPA/CFA/PMP designation or active candidacy is an asset
+ Minimum 3 years of mutual fund experience and 1 year of project management experience
+ Experience with regulatory reporting requirements in Canadian Mutual Fund Industry, such as OSC and IFIC
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
+ Ability to write excel macro via VBA is an advantage
+ Exceptional analytical, quantitative skills & problem-solving skills
+ Superior proficiency in fund accounting systems, such as MCH, as well as knowledge in Bloomberg terminal
+ Time management and the ability to work well under pressure
