This job contributes to Starbucks success by supporting Starbucks’ engagement with the investment community by delivering insightful financial analysis, preparing investor communications, and contributing to strategic messaging. This role independently manages complex projects, collaborates cross-functionally, and serves as an important contributor to our investment community.

As an senior analyst, you will…

•    Develop and deliver financial analysis and insights to support investor communications, including earnings releases, investor presentations, and Q&A preparation for leadership.
•    Monitor market trends, peer performance, and analyst sentiment to inform strategic messaging and identify emerging issues relevant to Starbucks’ investor base.
•    Track sell-side analyst estimates and accuracy of consensus, and inform the team and CFO of the latest trends in expectations, while maintaining an in-depth understanding of valuation models.
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Communications teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in external financial disclosures and messaging.
•    Support quarterly earnings processes as part of the team that prepares the press release, script, Q&A, and other key supporting documents. 
•    Maintain and enhance investor relations databases, website and tools, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of shareholder activity, analyst coverage, and investor feedback.
•    Enjoy working on a collaborative team to drive the business forward, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

We’d love to hear from people with:

•    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field. 
•    Ability to interpret financial statements and build models to support investor messaging and strategic decision-making.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills to craft clear, compelling investor materials and presentations.
•    Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging with external stakeholders such as analysts and investors.
•    Ability to synthesize market data, peer performance, and industry trends to inform investor strategy.
•    Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines, especially during earnings cycles and investor events.
•    High level of accuracy in financial reporting and messaging to ensure consistency and compliance. 
•    Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in investor relations, public accounting, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related field.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
