A day in the life of a Sr. FP&A Analyst at VF looks a little like this.

The Americas Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) group serves as the critical support for the Americas CFO for the analysis and presentation of all strategic, financial, and operational aspects of the Americas Region.

This role, reporting to the Manager, FP&A Americas, will serve as a key member of the FP&A team. The primary responsibilities are to support the monthly forecast processes and the annual plan as well as support the establishment of best practices for financial analytics practices in the Americas region. To succeed, this individual will utilize both relationship building and a strong analytical skill-set.

Serve as the financial contact for the Americas Key Accounts Management team, providing quantitative and qualitative insight of quarterly results and the strategic planSupport the analysis and presentation of Americas financial results and operating metrics for monthly forecasts and plan, providing insights on the business performance at the aggregate levelSupport reporting and prepare presentations of Americas financial results in preparation of quarterly Board of Directors meetingsSupport establishment of best practices across all VF brands in the AmericasWork with VF’s Business Intelligence team to establish all required reporting for the Americas regionSupport the communication of financial performance for the region with the Corporate FP&A team and the compilation of ad hoc requestsSupport Flash reporting for the Americas RegionUnderstand reporting of the weekly Direct to Consumer (DTC) business performance for the regionUnderstand the marketing return on investments in the regionWork with VF’s Global reporting team in relation to reporting for the Americas regionSupport approval processes including but not limited to, strategic investments, marketing headcount and T&EDevelop an understanding of Americas Region objectives, both financial and strategic, and a keen insight into VF’s current and future businessSupport the Americas CFO on all group initiatives for the Americas region

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3+ years of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

3+ Years of Related Professional ExperienceBA/BS in Business, Finance, or other related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years of related professional experienceFortune 500 publicly traded company experience in a matrix organization strongly preferredMBA or CPA preferredFinancial and performance analysis experience & strong finance skills requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong financial modeling skills, especially income statement analysisAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsOutstanding PC skills in Microsoft environment, including spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation capabilitiesAbility to work closely with the Finance and Operations staff while driving a results-oriented culture and an atmosphere of accountabilityAbility to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment & to be a team playerHighly organized & achievement-orientedSelf-starter, able to handle multiple demands & competing prioritiesDetail-oriented with exceptional analytical skillsAbility to effectively present findings to management in a clear and concise manner

Hiring Range:

$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
