Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Analyst, Engineering opening to join our CGL Product Delivery team.
This role in summaryThis role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, from developing new water filtration products like reverse osmosis to enhancing our crucial refrigerator filter platform. You will collaborate with Refrigeration manufacturing on essential maintenance of business(MOB) activities for water filters and contribute to future product direction through innovation workshops. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to create new products such as filter interfaces and Advanced Water Filtration Systems.
Your responsibilities will include
Lead the technical aspect for filtration launches on refrigerator platforms.
Apply Whirlpool Product Development(WPD) Process and conduct design reviews for projects
Execute the technical requirements for a project including DFMEAs, Drawing Release, Safety Audits, DVP&Rs
Interact with the Category Manager, Procurement, Project Manager, Legal and Suppliers to launch products
Maintain the current products on the market for refrigerator filters and support refrigerator quality projects
Develop project schedules that align with the project master schedule
Communicate clearly cross functionally on risks and mitigation plans
Translate product requirements into engineering specifications
Ability to work cross functionally across 2 different business units(CGL and Refrigerator Platform).
Work as a System Integrator and Project leader on minor initiatives.
Minimum requirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
Minimum of 5 years experience in an engineering field (Technical Project Management Experience and Familiarity with Stage Gate Product Development Methodology such as WPD)
Preferred skills and experiences
Master of science
Familiarity with refrigerator water systems
Strong understanding of Fluid Mechanics
Strong understanding of and familiarity with engineering tools and documentation ( PFMEA, DFMEA, DVP, requirements writing, etc. )
Basic understanding of design for manufacturability, GD&T, BOM structure is a plus
Strong understanding of plastic part design for injection molding
Usage of A3 or 8D process and ability to work cross-functionally to solve design or field issues Flexibility of working with Global team
OPEX/Sig Sigma Knowledge is a plus
Strong decision-making skills with a drive to proactively obtain complete and accurate information
A self starter with the capability to work across functional boundaries to solve problems
Excellent Communication Skills
Travel -10 to 20%
