Senior Analyst, Cash Application
**_What Finance Operations contributes to Cardinal Health_** Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets. Finance Operations is responsible for the oversight and overall performance of the following core financial processes. This includes pricing administration, rebates, cash application, chargebacks, billing, accounts payable and employee travel & expense. **_Job Summary_** This role will be primarily responsible for the accurate and timely application of cash receipts related to Customer Cash Application, Distributor Sales Agreements (DSAs) and Rebates. The Senior Analyst will play a key role in developing and implementing efficient processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including our Genpact partners. This position requires a strong understanding Cash application and has the ability to work independently and as part of a team. **_Responsibilities_** + Apply cash receipts accurately and efficiently to customer accounts. + Research and resolve payment discrepancies, including short payments, overpayments, and unidentified payments. + Analyze customer accounts and payment history to identify trends and potential issues. + Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cash application processes related to Customer payments, DSA and rebates. + Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sales, and Accounting teams to resolve customer inquiries and payment issues. + Work closely with our Genpact partners to ensure seamless integration of processes and efficient cash application. + Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. + Prepare and analyze reports related to cash application performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs). + Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of cash application processes. + Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to cash application and accounts payable. + Provide training and support to other team members as needed. + Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting. + Project Support + Perform other duties as assigned. **_Qualifications_** + Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred + 2-4 years of experience, preferred + 3-5 years of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or accounts payable preferred + Understanding of Distributor Sales Agreements (DSA) and rebate payments is a plus + Experience working in SAP is highly preferred + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.). + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Detail-oriented and highly organized + Experience working with outsourced service providers is a plus **_What is expected of you and others at this level_** + Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks + Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity + Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve + Applies judgment within defined parameters + Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects + Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy **Anticipated salary range:** $57,000-$81,600 **Bonus eligible:** No **Benefits:** Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being. + Medical, dental and vision coverage + Paid time off plan + Health savings account (HSA) + 401k savings plan + Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay + Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) + Short- and long-term disability coverage + Work-Life resources + Paid parental leave + Healthy lifestyle programs **Application window anticipated to close:** 11/08/2025 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.
