Why this role is important?

The Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence position’s primary responsibility will be to help extract & analyze all patient assistance program data within core therapeutic areas and provide value add insight into trends, opportunities, performance to targets and benchmarks for programs and recommendations on efficiencies. The Senior Analyst’s role is to assist the business users in getting raw data out of the system to turn into something meaningful for stakeholders. They will also act as a liaison for communication between the business end users and the developers.  

Senior Analyst will leverage the data within, and connected to, the Specialty Health Network (SHN) / Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM) /Loblaw Companies Limited (LCL) ecosystem to generate outputs and insights that guide effective business decision-making. The incumbent will play a critical role in leveraging data-driven insights to optimize program and specialty pharmacy performance, enhance patient outcomes, and deliver value to our partners.

What you will do: 

Act as a conduit between: Client, SHN Sales & Marketing and Business Intelligence department to clarify and translate business and or operational requirements into documentation and conceptual report designs. Analyze large datasets from SHN programs and connected systems and processes to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor program and pharmacy performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs/requirements and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.Design and implement data models and KPIs aligned with business objectives.Perform advanced analytics (predictive modeling) to inform decision-making and improve program efficiency.Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Maintain business requirements, functional requirements and technical specification documentation for all reports. Participate in audits on behalf of the Business Intelligence department.  Participate in Request for Proposal processes related to specific therapeutic area of expertise. Assess impact to reports due to process changes and improvements.Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per current policies and procedure. 

What you will need: 

Minimum 2-3 years of data and analytics experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in a numerate or analytical discipline such as Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.Strong knowledge and understanding of relational databases and querying ability using SQL.Experience with programming languages such as Python or R to perform efficient data analysis and automation.Experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.Familiarity with CRM platforms (eg. Salesforce) is an asset.Familiarity with cloud environments (eg. GCP) is an asset.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into meaningful insights.
