This role will directly contribute to regional growth in APAC, aligning with our global strategy of innovation and excellence. Skills and Experience 

Reporting of the role:

This role reports to Regional Risk & Control Director

In this role, your key responsibilities and goals will be:

Within three months:

Collaborate with local cross-functional teams to coordinate quarterly, half-yearly, and annual Compliance submissions, ensuring timely reporting in line with regional deadlines. Present key findings and outcomes to the Regional Risk & Control Director. Familiarise yourself with core frameworks including the WPP Risk & Control Matrix (RCM), ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) training, and guidance and Compliance policies.

Within six months:

On the assigned markets, act as the lead coordinator for local ICFR audits, internal audits, and other assurance activities — ensuring a seamless audit process, timely follow-ups, and proactive issue resolution or enhancement. Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the remediation actions for assigned markets related to ICFR audit findings, and close them in the system upon confirmation of effective implementation. Serve as one of the primary points of contact for internal stakeholders, offering guidance and clarification on compliance-related policies, procedures, and processes.

Within 12 months:

Develop and deliver training materials to educate local stakeholders on Compliance policies, updates on ICFR guidance and requirement. Provide guidance to local markets on business processes to enhance operational efficiency and drive business value, ensuring compliance with internal controls, while maintaining an open mind and proactively recommending improvements as needed Support other Compliance initiatives or special projects as assigned by the Regional Risk & Control Director.

What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4 to 5 years in risk management, internal audit, internal controls, or compliance. Strong working knowledge of ICFR risk and control frameworks is highly advantageous. Highly analytical, with sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels and across cultures
