Senior AI Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is seeking several Senior AI Engineers to join a large project based in Mumbai to mentor the top engineers at a large corporation best practices and principles to help them become AI Native. This project will focus on teaching these teams how to work together as AI native development team and how those teams will take what they’ve learned to the rest of the technology organization. The outcome of the program will ultimately be identifying opportunities for back office automation and then building that automation for practical use in the business. This program will consist of lecture components but will be heavy on breakout/practicum (i.e. working amogst the engineers, circulating, troubleshooting, talk through problem, talk through system design, sandboxing, understanding/explaining limitations of current tooling, walk through definitions of why/how we are choosing to build the system the way we are, etc) Mission Lead the technical implementation and teach the engineers how to design, debug, and scale AI-native systems. This is not a “hands-off architect” role — you’ll teach through building, pairing, and troubleshooting live projects. Key Responsibilities ● Model and teach AI engineering best practices: prompt versioning, evaluation, retrieval tuning, logging, testing. ● Work directly with internal teams on architectural reviews. ● Evaluate model-tool fit (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) and recommend appropriate frameworks. ● Collaborate with the Product Lead to translate problem statements into buildable technical approaches. ● Create internal reference builds or “sandboxes” to demonstrate design patterns. Day-to-Day example: ● Morning: Conduct system design sessions with engineers; whiteboard data and model flows for automation projects. ● Mid-day: Develop or pair on prototypes — e.g., RAG pipelines, multi-agent workflows, model evaluation harnesses. ● Afternoon: Debug production blockers (“Why is the agent looping?”, “Where’s the context drift?”) and teach systematic diagnosis. ● End of Day: Document learnings and patterns for cross-vertical reuse.
