Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Advisor for Safety, Health & Environment to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This key role will focus on overseeing and enhancing the safety, health, and environmental aspects of our sewage treatment plant project.

Develop and implement comprehensive safety, health, and environmental management systems for sewage treatment plant operationsConduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with local and international SHE regulationsLead the development and implementation of SHE policies, procedures, and best practicesProvide expert advice on environmental compliance and occupational health and safety matters to senior managementManage and analyze SHE performance data, preparing detailed reports for stakeholdersCoordinate with regulatory bodies and represent the organization in SHE-related mattersLead and mentor a team of SHE professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvementOversee SHE training programs for employees at all levelsSpearhead initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve sustainability of plant operationsCollaborate with operations teams to integrate SHE considerations into all aspects of sewage treatment processes

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferredMinimum 10 years of experience in SHE roles, with at least 5 years in sewage treatment or wastewater managementProven expertise in environmental management systems, safety protocols, and health standards in industrial settingsStrong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and associated environmental regulationsProficiency in risk assessment, data analysis, and report writingExcellent project management and leadership skillsRelevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)In-depth understanding of UAE environmental regulations and standardsDemonstrated ability to develop and implement SHE policies and proceduresStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organizationProficiency in using environmental management software and data analysis tools
