Lenovo is seeking a Senior Advisor, AI Ethics to join our Ethics and Compliance team. This individual will play a critical role in the company’s AI Governance framework to ensure that AI technologies are developed, deployed, and monitored in alignment with Lenovo’s ethical principles, regulatory requirements, and Lenovo’s AI Policy. The Senior Advisor will conduct AI ethical reviews and serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams across the business.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement a robust compliance framework for responsible and ethical AI internal review processesDesign and implement standardized documentation protocols and review criteria to support both regulatory compliance and internal governance requirements related to the ethical reviews of AI projects across the organizationMaintain up-to-date knowledge of global AI regulations, guidance, and industry standardsConduct and document ethical AI reviews of new and existing AI initiatives across LenovoDevelop risk assessment tools for identifying ethical risks in AI systems (e.g., bias, discrimination, transparency)Collaborate with business units and technical teams to ensure alignment with Responsible AI principlesServe as an advisor to product and business teams responsible for the deployment of AI solutionsPartner closely with the Inclusion Product Design Office to conduct bias and discrimination audits and reviewsSupport engagement with legal, data privacy, security, HR, and product design teams on AI-related compliance initiativesDevelop and deliver internal training and awareness programs on ethical AI principles and compliance obligationsPromote a culture of ethical innovation by championing responsible AI practices

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Law, Ethics, Public Policy, AI, or related field12+ years of experience in compliance, ethics, responsible AI, or a related discipline.Strong understanding of Responsible AI principles and emerging global AI regulatory frameworksExcellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and drive initiatives across global, cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Juris Doctor or equivalent law degreeFamiliarity with bias detection, fairness audits, and interpretability in machine learning models is a plusExperience working in or with ethics and compliance teams at a multinational technology companyTechnical fluency in AI/ML concepts, including model development pipelines and common risks in AI deployment

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $175k - 190K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
