Senior Adobe Commerce Developer
Position Description:

As a Senior Adobe Commerce Developer, you will help the technology team drive business growth and enhance customer experience by working directly with clients. Leveraging your expertise, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing commerce architecture and infrastructure. Expected to drive the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance commerce solutions. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring our digital commerce experiences meet and exceed customer expectations.

This position is located at the client site in Alexandria, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design and implementation of Adobe Commerce solutions to support online initiatives.
• Configure and Integrate Adobe Commerce solution with Adobe Experience Manager "AEM" CMS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure seamless data flow between commerce and ERP systems, optimizing real-time synchronization of orders, inventory, and customer data.
• Implement and optimize integrations with payment gateways, tax engines, shipping providers, and other commerce ecosystem components.
• Optimize the performance and scalability of the commerce platform, address bottlenecks and ensure a smooth and responsive online shopping experience.
• Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard customer data, payment information, and sensitive commerce transactions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, staying abreast of security trends and proactively addressing potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development teams, UX/UI designers, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of commerce projects.
• Identify when to use out-of-the-box functionality or core components verse custom solutions.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of commerce and API-based commerce services.
• Lead, collaborate and integrate Adobe Commerce, API App Builder, MuleSoft, REST API's with AEM components.
• Define and implement strategies to support multi-site and multi-currency in global ecosystem.
• Integrate third-party (SSO, Address Validation) and Adobe products (Target, CJA, CDP) with AEM.
• Ensure the technical feasibility and operational stability of commerce solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest commerce features and updates that align with industry’s best practices and Adobe Commerce capabilities.
• Work closely with client’s commerce product owners to understand their needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to elevate the team’s expertise in commerce and headless architecture.
• Provide on-going technical support to business as well as a team of commerce engineers, functional SMEs, and business analysis across the organization.
• Ability to work in a hectic, fast-paced organization, and filled with high-pressure situations daily.
• Assess functional and technical requirements, system configuration, data integrity and all system-related policies and procedures.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Adobe Commerce Developer.
· Proven experience with end-to-end implementations and migrations with Adobe Commerce, cloud service preferred.
· Experience architecting and implementing Adobe solutions.
· In-depth knowledge of Adobe Commerce platform capabilities, including customization, extension development, and module integration.
· Solid understanding of NetSuite ERP functionalities, particularly in the context of commerce.
· Proficiency in PHP, with experience in customizing and extending Adobe Commerce.
· Strong understanding of commerce best practices, including payment processing, shipping logistics, and order fulfillment.
· Proven usage of SDLC methodologies (Agile/SCRUM).
· Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
· Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Adobe Commerce, Magento 2 Certification or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
· Strong expertise in designing and implementing integrations using MuleSoft, with a focus on connecting Adobe Commerce and NetSuite ERP.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800.00 - $228,100.00.
