Job Description:
This role will provide product oversight from actuarial and risk perspectives, including support to the product development process and ensuring the proper development of policyholders’ reasonable expectations and fair treatment to customers. It will also support the management of the participating business, lead the bonus and other discretionary benefits recommendations, asset share reporting, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as drive other business initiatives and par-related matters.
Responsibilities
Provide oversight and support on the product development process, helping to ensure compliance with sound actuarial practices and relevant regulations, proper development of policyholders’ reasonable expectations (PRE) and ensure fair treatment of customers.
Review of customer communications and other product-related materials to ensure they are clear, as intended and congruent to PRE.
Support the management of the participating business, including the recommendation exercises of discretionary benefits, asset share reporting, regulatory disclosures and governance of participating funds, applying leading industry best practices and standards.
Collaborate across functions and engage senior stakeholders to help drive effective governance and business decisions.
Support other initiatives and matters, based on evolving regulations and other business initiatives.
Qualifications
University Graduate in Actuarial Science or related disciplines
Qualified actuary - FSA, FCIA, FIA, FIAA or equivalent, or good progression in actuarial exams
7-12 years of full-time relevant experience. Candidate with less experience will be considered for Manager role.
Experience in Product/ Pricing and HK-specific par management is an advantage
Experience in AXIS, Prophet ALS or other actuarial software is not required but a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills on both English and Chinese
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive par-related initiatives
Provide high-quality materials and effective communication with senior stakeholders
