Principal Responsibilities

Capital Reporting:
Perform actuarial valuations and reserve calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Bermuda regulatory frameworkAssist in preparing the EBS, solvency positions, stress testing and sensitivity analysesDevelop and maintain actuarial models to project liabilities, cash flows, and capital impacts under the Bermuda regulatory regimeCollaborate with finance teams to populate the Bermuda Capital Solvency Requirements (BSCR) template for regulatory submissionsRisk Management Business Support:
Provide actuarial support for risk assessment, stress testing, and sensitivity analysis to aid decision-makingSupport reinsurance analysis and its impact on solvency positions under the Bermuda regulatory frameworkContribute to business planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making by providing actuarial insightsProvide support to ongoing projects related to the risk and control frameworkSome careers open more doors than others.

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related fieldProgress toward actuarial qualification (e.g., FIA, FSA, FCAS, or equivalent) with good exam progressExperience with actuarial modelling software (e.g., Prophet, Moses, RAFM, or similar)Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and automationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentHands-on experience with capital and solvency reporting in an insurance company or consultancyKnowledge of discounting techniques, risk margin calculations, and cash flow modellingOpening up a world of opportunity
