Job Title: Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of vendor payments and financial processes. You will be responsible for approving new vendors, managing vendor inquiries, and ensuring all invoices are processed efficiently. Your expertise in accounts payable will contribute to our financial integrity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Enters overhead, benefits, property tax, and state/federal tax related invoices for review and approval by staffApproves New Vendors and reviews once set up in ERP to ensure accurate inputResponsible for responding to Vendor inquiries and management of statements to ensure all Vendor invoices are captured in BM system on a timely basisReview and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate documentaƟon and approval prior to g/l posƟng and paymentCommunicates with Controller to assist with taking discounts, as availablePrepare, process, and submit check files, wire transfers, ACH payments, and positive pay.Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support for internal and external auditsPrepare annual 1099-NEC forms for recipients at year-end, in compliance with IRS rules and regulationsSend monthly Crane/Barge email to West division for expensing costs against jobs at month endResponsible for ensuring all vehicle/equipment Ɵtles, invoices for other type Asset purchases are kept in Sharepoint for access, as needed Train and mentor junior staff in accounts payable processes and systemsImplement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable systemOther duties as assigned and necessaryEssential Skills
Proficiency in accounts payable processes, invoice processing, and purchase order management.Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.Experience with SAP and general ledger account reconciliations.Demonstrated accounts payable experience in accordance with US GAAP, federal and state regulations.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Experience in construction or manufacturing industries, with 4-6 years of relevant experience required.Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and accounting software platforms such as Timberline, Viewpoint, or Concur.Prior experience with Viewpoint Construction Software is a plus.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 - $32.00/hr.
