Senior Accounts Payable Representative

Our client, a large automotive parts importer, is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Representative to join their team. As a Senior Accounts Payable Representative, you will be part of the finance department supporting the accounts payable team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Senior Accounts Payable Representative
**Location:** Oak Brook, IL (Onsite)
**Pay Range:** $60k - $70k/yr.
**What's the Job?**
+ Lead the team in receiving, verifying, and processing vendor invoices; ensure accuracy of invoice details and proper coding.
+ Troubleshoot invoice discrepancies with various internal and external customers.
+ Manage and execute payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers) and ensure payments are processed in a timely manner.
+ Perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive vendor relationships.
+ Generate and analyze accounts payable reports and dashboards; provide insights and recommendations to management for process improvement.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required
+ 3-5 years’ of experience from a high volume organization processing 8000+ total transactions a month
+ Recent AS400 software knowledge required
+ Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle or SAP ERP systems)
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot
