Senior Accounting & Tax Specialist (Greece)

Purpose of the Role:

 

Pillar of rock-solid financial accounting and reporting. Responsible for performing and organizing various accounting and reporting activities, in line with IFRS, local tax regulations, local accounting and fiscal laws, as well as group requirements (Group Finance manual, based on IFRS)

 

What you will do:

 

Understanding of processes in the company and how they are recorded through SAP and reflected in financial statements of adidas Hellas. Coordination and verification of all postings done in the company’s financial information program (ERP), according to the legal provisions and to the requirements of adidas Group. Actively ensure sustainability of the local GAAP books and General Ledger structure. Support on activities for the income tax calculation, withholding tax and VAT, as per local legislation. Performs activities related to electronic books myDATA (i.e periodical reconciliations, support on implementation and system setup maintenance). Support Greece Finance Manager in external statutory and tax audits by coordinating of the local team on the information and documents requested by the audit teams. Performing internal and external reconciliations and regular internal controls. Participation in various projects for the implementation, testing, and modifying ERP in the financial-accounting field. Proactive collaboration with SEE Finance team and other Group functions (IT, Accounting, Tax etc)

 

Skills you will need:

Good accounting knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, tax legislation, electronic books (myData). Strong process understanding of accounting and finance relevant processes Advanced SAP Knowledge Advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks. University Degree in Accounting/Finance Minimum 3 years of Accounting experience preferably in a multinational environment Fluent in English (written and spoken).
