Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our growing team. Our client is a dynamic accounting practice based in Oakland, CA, transforming the way small businesses manage their finances. With a client base of over 40 companies-primarily in the architecture and engineering sectors-we offer tailored financial solutions that empower business owners to focus on growth.
Responsibilities:
Manage outstanding items and projects of clients for deadlines and timely completion and/or resolutionSupervise employees (Accounting analyst and clerks) performing financial reporting, accounting, billing and payrollHands-on accounting includes invoicing, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable processing, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial report preparation and problem resolution of accounting issues Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reportsPrepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, reports required by regulatory agencies; ensure records are in compliance with all applicable government regulations and professional standardsMaintain current knowledge of organizational policies and proceduresAnalyze financial details to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is neededMonitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are metRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field3-5 years post college work experience1-2 years experience in a managerial role (overseeing 1-2 employees)Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skillsSolid understanding of QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and MS OfficeExcellent communication and organizational skills
