The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing statutory accounting and tax compliance for the Romanian entities while contributing to the standardization and stabilization of accounting processes across the organization. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing statutory accounting and tax compliance for the Romanian entities while contributing to the standardization and stabilization of accounting processes across the organization. The role combines hands-on operational accounting with coordination activities involving external partners and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Manage full statutory accounting for multiple Romanian legal entities Ensure compliance with Romanian accounting and fiscal legislation Coordinate accounting and tax activities with external accounting and tax service providers Standardize accounting, reporting, treasury, and tax processes across entities Act as main point of contact for Romanian fiscal authorities and external auditors Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and related documentation Oversee bank transfers, cash management, and treasury-related processes Support the onboarding and accounting integration of newly acquired entities Contribute to group reporting and local statutory inputs for consolidation purposes Prepare periodic statutory, management, and ad-hoc financial reports Support internal and external audits and respond to audit queries Provide clear accounting guidance to non-financial stakeholders and operational managers
Candidate profile
Solid senior-level experience in accounting roles in Romania Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards and fiscal regulations Experience working in multi-entity, fast-growing, or acquisition-driven environments Exposure to intercompany accounting and group reporting structures University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics Romanian GAAP must have; CECCAR qualification is an advantage but not mandatory Confident communicator, including interaction with authorities and auditors Structured, detail-oriented, and ownership-driven working style English proficiency required for professional communicationCONFIDENTIALITY: Recruitment conducted on behalf of our client.
