Senior Accountant

Chicago-Based Company Seeking Experienced Accountant

Monday- Friday (Onsite)

Job Description

Maintain and manage all aspects of the general ledger.Perform full\u2011cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow activity.Prepare, generate, and analyze financial statements and management reports.Prepare and file sales tax returns, 401(k) reporting, and other required financial filings.Lead monthly, quarterly, and year\u2011end close processes.Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.Maintain accurate, organized, and up\u2011to\u2011date financial records and documentation.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit activities.Provide accounting guidance and support to internal teams as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.5\u20137 years of corporate accounting experience with strong general ledger ownership.Public accounting experience is a plus.Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills required.Experience with large ERP systems strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.Excellent analytical and problem\u2011solving abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
