The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance activities. This role partners closely with finance leadership and cross functional teams to maintain strong controls, improve processes, and support business decision making.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysisMaintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in accordance with GAAPOversee Sales and Use Tax compliance, including calculation, filing, reconciliation, and audit support across applicable jurisdictionsAssist with the preparation of financial statements and internal management reportingSupport external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit inquiriesAnalyze complex transactions and ensure proper accounting treatmentIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controlsPartner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Operations to resolve accounting and tax related issuesAssist with special projects, system implementations, and ad hoc analysis as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance4 to 7+ years of progressive accounting experienceHands on experience with Sales and Use Tax compliance and filingsStrong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accountingExperience in month end close and financial reportingProficiency with ERP systems and ExcelPreferred SkillsExperience supporting multi state or multi entity environmentsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesClear communication skills and ability to collaborate cross functionallyJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gulf Breeze, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.25/hr.
