Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team onsite at our Cedar Rapids headquarters. This full-time position is highly visible within the organization and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.
Responsibilities
Manage daily general ledger activity, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including invoicing, cash application, vendor payments, and aging analysis.Process and review project billing and coding for accuracy and completeness.Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations.Prepare routine financial reports and statements; support month-end and year-end close activities.Support audits, compliance requirements, and maintenance of internal controls.Assist with tax-related tasks, including sales/use tax, property tax, and income tax preparation in coordination with tax advisors.Ensure financial reporting adheres to GAAP standards.Perform intercompany reconciliations.Monitor daily cash flow and assist with banking tasks, including deposits, transfers, and account reconciliations.Support budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning processes.Provide financial analysis and insights to Senior management as needed.Partner with the Controller and management team on strategic projects and initiatives.Essential Skills
5+ years of accounting experience (GL, AR/AP, payroll, or related areas).Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and QuickBooks Enterprise is required.Strong attention to detail.Highly organized, dependable, and able to meet strict deadlines.Additional Skills & Qualifications
ERP experience preferred but not required.Experience with job cost accounting or project-based environments preferred.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.66 - $40.87/hr.
