Scope/Qualification Summary:
The Senior Accountant supports the Director of Finance and Accounting in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies, and assisting with day‑to‑day accounting operations. This role focuses on accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in accounting preferred 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable Hotel Accounting or night audit experience is a plus Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge preferred Experience with Opera, M3, or similar hotel systems preferredPhysical Actives:
Long hours sometimes required, including evenings and weekends. Light Work-Exerting 20 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objectsMental Requirements:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to analyze financial data and maintain accuracyDuties and Job Functions:
Process vendor invoices in the accounting system Maintain purchase order documentation and verify required approvals Follow up with department managers regarding invoice approvals or discrepancies Maintain vendor files and ensure W‑9 documentation is on file Process weekly accounts payable payments Post journal entries and assist with account reconciliations Support the monthly financial close process Assist with sales and occupancy tax filings and payments Reconcile billing accounts and research discrepancies Respond to vendor and guest billing inquiries Assist with financial reporting and audit requests as needed Assist with the monthly closing process.Duties and Job Functions cont'd
