Job Title: Sr Accountant

Job Description

The Sr Accountant will play a crucial role in assisting with the monthly and quarterly month-end close process. This includes preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. The position also involves engaging in ad hoc projects as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist in the monthly and quarterly month-end close process.Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.Compile and analyze financial statements.Undertake ad hoc projects as required.

Strong accounting skills.Ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex problems.Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions.Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats.Proficiency in summarizing data and presenting results.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Capability to manage, organize, prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.Experience working both as a team player and leader.Five years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong Excel skills.Sense of urgency.Experience with Workday EFT.

Work Environment

The position operates in a hybrid work environment, typically requiring onsite presence on Thursdays and the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend, onsite work is usually scheduled for the preceding Friday. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in accounting, along with familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements for GAAP, tax issues, and financial reporting, are essential.

This is a Contract position based out of Newark, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $70.00/hr.
