Starting salary: $100K–$105KLong-term salary growth up to $130K (role is capped at Sr. Accountant level)Excellent benefits and strong emphasis on work-life balancePosition OverviewWe are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join a stable, collaborative accounting team and play a key role in the month-end close process and ongoing accounting operations. This is a hands-on, well-rounded accounting role ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, process improvement, and working in a team-oriented environment with strong work-life balance.
This position is not AR-focused, though there is opportunity to learn and support AR functions as needed. The ideal candidate brings solid core accounting experience, is comfortable operating independently, and enjoys partnering with others to continuously improve processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & Core AccountingPlay a key role in the month-end close (MEC) process within a 5-day closePrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesSupport accurate and timely financial reportingPartner with two additional team members during close to ensure efficiency, cross-training, and coverageAssist with year-end close and audit support as neededProcess Improvement & CollaborationIdentify and implement process, procedure, and documentation improvementsSupport cross-training initiatives to promote team flexibility and work-life balanceCollaborate closely with the accounting team to streamline workflows and improve efficiencyProvide backup support across accounting functions as needed (excluding payroll ownership)General Accounting SupportAssist with balance sheet and P&L analysisSupport internal controls and accounting best practicesGain exposure to AR processes if desired (training available)Team & Reporting StructureReports directly to the Director of Finance / ControllerAccounting team includes:Director of Finance / ControllerSr. Accountants (including this role)Assistant Accountant (handles AP)Analyst (recently hired)Note: There are no title-based growth paths, but there is long-term compensation growth and strong role stability.
