Senior Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a dynamic company in Kansas City, Missouri. Responsibilities: • Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements, including detailed supporting schedules, reconciliations, and comprehensive analysis. • Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports to clients and regulatory authorities, maintaining compliance with all relevant standards. • Monitor and evaluate financial controls, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights through performance reports. • Coordinate external audits by compiling necessary documentation and responding promptly to auditor inquiries. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine accounting policies, enhance processes, and ensure adherence to best practices. • Manage month-end close procedures, including journal entries and ledger reviews, to maintain accurate records. • Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Provide property accounting support and maintain accurate records using Sage Intacct. • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting initiatives to support financial planning efforts. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with a strong attention to detail. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with exceptional skills in Excel. • Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex financial data and ensure precision. • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Commitment to delivering exceptional client support and maintaining a high standard of conduct. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of successful collaboration across teams. • Familiarity with Sage Intacct and experience in property accounting is highly preferred.
