Enteral feeding (also known as tube feeding) is a means of providing nutrition to people who cannot obtain nutrition by swallowing. The prestigious Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence highlights our commitment to continuous improvement and a culture of excellence, delivering sustainable results year after year. **Purpose of Role** The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the CFS Finance Manager with a range of accounting, financial analysis, internal control and administration activities along with other statutory reporting requirements. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Complete month end accounting activities (e.g. journal entries, reconciliations) for in scope entities. + Financial analysis and reporting for in scope entities, including preparation of financial packs for quarterly board meetings. + Support delivery of statutory accounts aligned with corporate, country/legal entity timelines. + Build relationships and interact with key stakeholders to provide support, technical expertise and accounting guidance. + Liaise with Internal and External Auditors as required. + Ensure that the internal control environment for in scope entities is operating as intended and that any improvements are implemented in a timely fashion. + Responsible for ensuring quality and on time completion for month end activities (journals, account recs) and performance reporting for entities in scope. + Support the team’s efforts on continuous improvement, and liaise with CFS EMEA hub to ensure end to end process improvement opportunities are identified and implemented + Develop and improve processes and systems as required to ensure more efficient delivery of value-add information to both internal and external stakeholders. + Support the CFS Ireland team to perform ad hoc and other special projects assignments, as required. **KEY REQUIREMENTS** : + Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA + BS degree in Accounting or Finance desirable + 3+ years relevant experience in a complex global environment – preferably within a multi-currency, US GAAP based financial close environment + Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential + SAP or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable + Internal controls / Internal audit experience within a multi-national environment desirable + Hands-on and self-starter mentality + Able to manage responsibilities independently + Excellent financial analysis skills with ability to summarise data into high quality deliverables. + Strong computer skills especially MS Office & Power BI. **Minimum language skills** + Fluent in English essential An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
