Job Title: Sr. Accountant

Job Description

The Sr. Accountant will manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including handling journal entries, month-end and quarter-end close processes, reconciliations, and cost accounting functions. The role involves full cycle accounting, assisting in budgets and forecasting, and participating in financial reporting activities.

Responsibilities

Manage and execute all daily accounting functions.Handle journal entries and ensure accurate month-end and quarter-end close.Perform reconciliations and cost accounting.Conduct full cycle accounting tasks.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasting.Involve in financial reporting and analysis.Work on consolidations and general ledger management.Contribute to balance sheet preparation.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting.Strong skills in Excel and ERP systems.Experience in month-end close and reconciliations.3 to 5+ years of accounting experience.Ability to handle budgets and forecasting.Experience with general ledger management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Degree in accounting.Go-getter attitude with problem-solving skills.Ability to handle AR aging and GL work independently.Potential for growth into a supervisory role.

Work Environment

The position is based at the corporate headquarters of a restoration company. The team consists of one additional Sr. Accountant, one Staff Accountant, and one Billing Clerk. The company culture is family-oriented, offering significant growth potential as it aims to expand from $138 million to $500 million in three years.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of JACKSONVILLE, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
