As a Senior Accountant, you will proactively deliver accurate, relevant, and timely financial information to C.H. Robinson’s stakeholders. You will assist with the financial reporting process, perform financial analysis, and play a critical role in preparing monthly financial statements. You will also be responsible for general ledger accounts and will take ownership of assigned departmental focus areas and projects. This role requires effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset to overcome roadblocks, ensure operational excellence, and uphold best practices. As a Senior Accountant, you will continuously enhance accounting operations while maintaining strong internal controls.

Responsibilities:

 

GL Accounting of 1 or more entities, including:

Monthly posting of payroll, accruals, prepaids, and depreciations in US GAAPMonthly balance sheet reconciliationsAnalytical review of results per branchHelp in reporting branch resultsFiscal Compliance, including:Preparation (and filing in some entities) of VAT and other tax declarationsHelp during tax controls

Year-end closings, including:

Preparation of local GAAP statutory filesHelp during auditPreparation (and filing in some entities) of local GAAP financial statementsContact with branchesContact with external parties (auditors, tax advisors, tax authorities)Take on a variety of ad hoc tasks and projects across the accounting department, providing valuable support and contributing to the overall success of the team.

 

Qualifications:

 

Required

Bachelor's or a comparable degree in accountancy or a related fieldExcellent skills in utilizing Excel's functions and featuresFluent in English

 

Preferred:

2+ years of accounting experience Basic understanding of fiscal principles to ensure compliance and accurate financial reportingHighly motivated and eager to learn, with a genuine desire for continuous growthCan work independently and maintains a high level of organizationCollaborative and enjoys working effectively as part of a teamStrong Know-How in GL Accounting is a plusFamiliarity with Oracle software is considered advantageous
