ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishes functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.Accurately and timely manage the company’s monthly close process for the Allied Universal Compliance and Investigations business unit by working with corporate resources and driving efficiency and standardization in the accounting groupManage the AP functions and provides oversight to the A/R and Billing ManagerOversee cost and revenue accruals and deferralsManage cash position including status of billings and collections, bank reconciliations, and all banking and treasury mattersProvide support and be heavily involved in company performance discussionsOversee and ensure proper accounting for overhead charges and allocations, customer financing, and all adjustments and reclassificationsOversee and provide support for internal and external auditsClosely monitor key metrics (DSO, DPO, Net Billings, Invoice Volume) and communicate with senior leadership on status of the accounting operationServe as a liaison to newly acquired entities to facilitate the integration of legacy systemsResponsible for accurate and timely completion of company’s financial audit requests from the parent company (Allied Universal) and serves as the key point of contact representing CNI with Allied Universal’s external auditorsDesign and maintain ad hoc reporting as needed by the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in AccountingMust be a Certified Public Accountant

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a role of increasing responsibility in accounting and financeProgression through various roles.Prior experience in a management/supervisory role, preferably in a corporate finance setting (50M+)

Knowledge and Skills required to be successful:

Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage competing deadlinesStrong analytical skills (reporting and forecasting/modeling)Professional, articulate, and able to use excellent independent judgment and discretionProven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions, and materials in strictest confidenceOutstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player
