Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The role involves a comprehensive range of month-end close-related responsibilities, including balance sheet account reconciliations and an in-depth understanding of US GAAP. The successful candidate will lead Fixed Asset accounting and serve as an advisor for cross-functional teams on asset expense classification. Additionally, you will manage lease accounting recording, reconciliations, and reporting, file monthly State Use and B&O tax, and support annual data tax collection. You will assist with internal and external audit document collection and reporting, and participate in the preparation and submission of various required government reports. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating and recommending the correct GAAP accounting treatment for various financial activities while ensuring adherence to internal policies. A focus on continuous improvement in process and controls across accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, fixed assets, and payroll is expected, including report reduction, process automation, and improved use of technology.

ResponsibilitiesComplete month-end close-related responsibilities, including balance sheet account reconciliations.Lead Fixed Asset accounting and advise cross-functional teams on asset expense classification.Manage lease accounting recording, reconciliations, and reporting.File monthly State Use and B&O tax and support annual data tax collection.Assist with internal and external audit document collection and reporting.Prepare and submit various required government reports.Evaluate and recommend correct GAAP accounting treatment for financial activities.Support continuous improvement in process and controls within accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, fixed assets, and payroll.Lead special projects, including new system integrations.Communicate complex thoughts and ideas clearly to management.Develop and maintain relationships throughout the organization.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in operational accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and General Ledger.Strong understanding of GAAP.Experience with Tier1/Tier 2 ERP Software, Oracle preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivots & VLOOKUPS).Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.Additional Skills & QualificationsIndustrial Industry Experience, particularly Direct Manufacturing, is strongly preferred.Exposure to fixed assets, with at least 1 year of experience.Experience with Oracle ERP system.Experience in lease accounting and fringe accounting.Previous experience in a leadership, mentoring, or management role.Background in a large publicly traded organization is preferred.Work Environment

The work environment is non-remote and requires full-time onsite presence, with relocation packages available if necessary. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Albany, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
