Senior Accountant
Job Title: Sr Accountant Job Description As a Sr Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring full compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and external regulatory standards. You will implement best practices for accurate and timely financial reporting, oversee core financial operations, and drive process improvements across accounting workflows. This role involves leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, managing budgeting and forecasting cycles, and supporting digital transformation initiatives. Responsibilities + Ensure full compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and external regulatory standards. + Oversee general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, working capital, and capital expenditures. + Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines. + Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing variance analysis and actionable insights. + Maintain robust cash flow management policies. + Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure audit readiness and compliance. + Drive process improvements across accounting workflows, including automation of reconciliations and reporting. + Support digital transformation initiatives by implementing accounting systems and tools. + Collaborate with international finance teams and banking partners. + Monitor and ensure compliance with payroll tax filings and benefit-related accounting. + Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. + Promote cross-functional alignment between finance and other departments. + Translate financial data into strategic insights and actionable recommendations. + Oversee day-to-day HR administration, including payroll processing and benefits enrollment. Essential Skills + 3+ years of accounting/finance experience in a relevant industry. + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. + Proficient in any ERP Software. + Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, managing the general ledger, and payroll processing. + Possess a passport for travel to corporate headquarters in Germany. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous HR experience would be an advantage. Work Environment This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression into a leadership position, with the company planning to triple in size over the next five years. You will be crucial in building out the Accounting/Finance and HR teams. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with most weeks requiring 45-50 hours. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roann, Indiana. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.00/hr.
