Kforce is working with a growing manufacturer in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan (MI) area that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting accounting and costing functions across manufacturing and R&D operations. The client offers salary and benefits, 401(k), PTO and great company culture. This position is scheduled as 100 on-site. Duties: * Lead month-end close activities: journal entries, allocations, reconciliations, and variance analysis * Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements, reports, and dashboards to inform operational decisions * Manage R&D project cost tracking and reporting * Maintain general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP * Support budgeting and forecasting processes * Monitor KPIs to drive financial efficiency * Assist with quarterly and annual financial forecasts * Oversee inventory management and cost accounting * Provide ad hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives * Participate in special projects and process improvements
