A Kforce client, located in Saint Louis, (MO) area is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and collaborative accounting team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in general accounting. Key Tasks: * Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness * Manage daily reconciliations of multiple accounts and ensure alignment with the general ledger * Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities * Partner with leadership to document internal controls and recommend process enhancements * Support internal and external audits through preparation of reports and audit schedules * As a Senior Accountant, you will collaborate with vendors and manage payment processes for domestic and international transactions * Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting staff * Serve as a backup for other finance functions and assist with special projects as needed
