Senior Accountant - Washington, DC

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Washington, DC looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for overseeing complex accounting activities, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, managing month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reporting schedules.Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide insights to support management decision-making.Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external reporting requirements.Assist with audit preparation by compiling documentation and responding to auditor requests.Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial information and analysis.
