Description Jana Chapman with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is seeking a remote Senior Accountant who loves lease accounting. In this role, you will oversee complex accounting processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position is ideal for someone with keen attention to detail, expertise in lease accounting, and a strong foundation in financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Manage lease accounting activities in compliance with ASC 842 standards. • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency. • Provide guidance and support on technical accounting matters, drawing on public accounting experience when applicable. • Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and transactions. • Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management and external stakeholders. • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to maintain compliance. • Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to their growth. Requirements Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, with a strong emphasis on lease accounting is required. + Proficiency with ASC 842 standards and their application in financial reporting is required. + CPA certification is highly preferred. + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. + Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
