The Accountant will be primarily responsible for executing Account reconciliations related to assigned entities in Stryker’s newly created Costa Rica Shared Service Center and additional support required to meet Month End Close activities or any ad-hoc request. **What you will do** + Drive month end closing process and any request as deem necessary + Financial Statement analysis + Perform Account Reconciliation for assigned entities + Comply with Corporate accounting policies, US, local GAAP and SOX controls + Escalate any unusual activity or aged items to management which enables a proactive response to potential risks and related losses + Prepare cash flow analysis and FEER reports + Investigate and resolve unsupported balances with main customers + Provide support to business on request related to journal/recon backups **What you need** + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field + Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus + SAP, Oracle or QAD systems knowledge is a big plus + 4-5 years (minimum) of relevant working experience in a finance function in matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
