Job Description

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external auditors and examiners to ensure the provision of accurate, complete, and timely information. This position involves primary responsibility for recording advance-related activities and operational servicing activities.

ResponsibilitiesAssume primary responsibility for recording advance-related activity and operational servicing activity.Prepare various journal entries and facilitate monthly close deadlines through automation and innovation.Prepare monthly account reconciliations for both key and non-key servicing-related assets and liabilities.Assist in preparation of financial reporting information as required for SEC, statutory, and compliance-related reporting.Maintain spreadsheet models and reports used in the accounting process.Understand process flow and how tasks affect the larger picture.Collaborate with business partners in Servicing, Capital Markets, and Treasury to resolve issues and build efficiencies.Perform related duties as assigned by management.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in accounting.5+ years of experience with US GAAP functions within an organization greater than $100M in revenue.5+ years of experience with account and bank reconciliations for month-end close.3+ years of corporate accounting experience within a financial services organization (mortgage, insurance, banking, asset management).2+ years of experience in financial statement preparation.3+ years of experience within either a public accounting or public company (SOX/internal controls) setting since 2018 or more recent.5+ years of experience with advanced Microsoft Excel functions such as creating pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas, data manipulations, and data sets with 10K+ lines.Additional Skills & QualificationsSQL proficiency.Experience in public accounting.Work Environment

This role will report to the Director of Accounting within a team of 30+ members on the Servicing Accounting team. The position is based in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art headquarters facility in Ft. Washington, PA. The work environment is characterized by easygoing and flexible leadership, providing a supportive atmosphere for professional growth. Employees enjoy holiday pay for six major holidays and accrue paid time off at a rate of 16 hours for every 400 hours worked.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $43.00/hr.
