Senior Accountant (3-Month Contract) 📍 Onsite | Oconomowoc, WI 🕒 Contract | Immediate Start | Construction Industry Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a background in construction finance? We’re seeking a Senior Accountant for a 3-month contract to support our growing team during a critical period of financial operations and reporting. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running. What You’ll Do📊 Financial Reporting & Compliance + Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements. + Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. + Support month-end and quarter-end close processes. 📈 Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis + Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis. + Support financial modeling and scenario planning. + Track job costs and revenue recognition using percentage-of-completion accounting. 🛠️ ERP & Systems Support + Assist with ERP data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting. + Help maintain data integrity and support system improvements. ✅ Audit & Controls + Prepare documentation for internal and external audits. + Support audit requests and help implement recommendations. 💼 Payroll & Operations Support + Assist with payroll processing for union and non-union employees. + Provide support for AP/AR functions as needed. 🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration + Work closely with project managers, operations, and HR teams. + Deliver financial insights to support business decisions. What You Bring + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). + 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry. + Strong understanding of GAAP and percentage-of-completion accounting. + Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
